Top Ten Sports Movies

I thought it was about time i did a post. but i havent been to the movies lately so i have nothing to blog about.
i did get out some movies the other day that (embarrasingly) i hadnt seen before.
knocked up and superbad.
i thought knocked up was hell funny. specially when he's dancing and he totally overuses the 'roll the dice move'.
but i actually thought superbad was overrated.
i have figured out though that maybe i only thought that it was overrated cos i dont really like jonah hill. hes pretty annoying sometimes.
and sometimes i think seth rogen copies some of his acting off will ferrel but hes still pretty good.

anyway,

Harry potter

Now as we all know Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is going to be sick BUT wait until you see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I have found out something absolutely mind blowing. Apparently they wanted to make the last book really good, and not miss out any of the details that some of the other movies have done. Which isn't really anyone's fault as filming a novel of any kind get great chunks and pieces of storyline thrown out. Well I'm not sure who's decision it was to do this, maybe J.K. Rowling's' or the directors (David Yates) but they are planning on making Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in, wait for it.......................................TWO PARTS.

therefore:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part I (release date: 2010)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II (release date: 2011)

So if they don't screw this up it may just turn out to be the smartest move any of the three directors, who have filmed the Harry Potter phenomenon, have ever done.

Fingers crossed mother fuckers!

Dale and Saul

OK everyone, saw the movie everyone, "Pineapple Express" rocks, not that i need to explain why it is good seeing as Seth Rogen (aka Dale), James Franco (aka Saul) and Danny R. McBride (aka Red) are all hit actors and play their characters to perfection.

Hilarious scenes and conversations make this the comedy that everyone was expecting.
Stunts, guns and a lot of fighting (some of the bitch fights between the main cast make this the movie it is) create a cool new movie genre to go with comedy, i mean this isn't drama its full on action with cool gore and a whole heap of violence!
The continued one-liners in all comedies are some of the funniest you have heard since "Superbad" and "Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy" and to tip off the ice the movie isn't short or too long and has more than enough gags and funny scenarios in it to make sure you don't get bored. Although i may not have laughed OUT LOUD as much in "Pineapple Express" as i did in "Step Brothers" i think this movie offers more to the audience than 40 year old teenagers being pussy's and getting beaten up by year 6 kids. I mean Dale and Saul fight real mean, with sweet shotguns, semi automatics, hand guns and other such weapons like the Kalashnikov.

James Franco's performance in this movie has renewed my faith in him as an actor who gives the funniest depiction of a laze-about drug dealer. Also there is a really HOT chick in this movie (Amber Heard aka Angie) who is going out with Dale, they hook up in the first 15 minutes of the movie or something. So get geared up for that boys and girls, Dingo in particular.

Just to be warned people the start of the film is a bit weird, funny and sometimes lame, but you will just have to wait and see what i mean. It is relevant to the movie but you don't know that until later in the movie. If you think you have seen all the best best in the trailers people, YOUR WRONG!

I guarantee this movie to all those who need a good laugh about stoners taking on stuff over the heads, but step up to the job magnificently and with a bit of luck turn into the baddest stoners armed with guns this generations has seen yet.

THE SPIRIT

Frank miller's new film "The Spirit" is due to be released on the 8Th of January 2009 (new Zealand) i don't know about Australia yet.
This new graphic novel Action/ drama follows the case of a Rookie cop.
cast:
Gabriel Macht
Scarlett Johansson
Samuel L. Jackson
Eva Mendes
Jaime King

plot:
Down these mean streets a man must come. A hero born, murdered, and born again. When a Rookie cop named Denny Colt returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face who has other plans. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this cold hearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader. Written by Anthony Pereyra.

"Sin City 2"
Those who have been waiting for Jessica Alba's return from motherhood and back into the character of sexy Nancy Callahan. Wait no longer. In 2010 this film will be released with all our favourites.
Including: Jessica Alba (obviously)
Rosario Dawson
Mickey Rourke (rumoured)
Rose McGowan (rumored)
Clive Owen
Jaime King
Antonio Banderas (rumoured)
Brittany Murphy
Michael Clarke Duncan
Devon Aoki
Michael Madsen
Danny Trejo and
Powers Boothe

Also I'm proud to announce the Sequel to "300" will be released in 2010 as well, so Frank Miller is going to be a busy man in the years to come, and to make things even more HECTIC he has announced the making of "Sin City 3" to be released some time in 2011.

And that's not even the best part about there being another "Sin City", to all those Johnny Depp fans out there! HE, the man himself has been rumored to star as the main character and ex-NAVY SEAL who saves a young woman from killing herself. The characters name is Wallace but the graphic novel is still in production and we may have a different actor starring our main man Wallace by the time judgment day comes.

But all bullshit aside i can tell everyone that I'm going to be looking forward to seeing "The Spirit" just as much as anyone who enjoys Frank Millers brilliant work!

Max Payne

"Max Payne"

I went to the movies today with brother mulks and watched this new cinema release starring Mark Wahlberg and the lovely mila kunis from "that 70's show". Other stars include Ludacris, Amaury Nolasco (from prison break and Transformers) and model Olga Kurylenko.

This movie set in the US is based upon Max Payne's life as a detective in the cold case unit, a devoted section of the police department that targets homicides that have not been solved. Only a year or so previous Max's wife and infant son was murdered by three drug-addicted cronies. The third escaped and Max has been looking for him, stopping at nothing as he tracks down other thief's and thugs to fulfill his bloody vendetta and to avenge his lost loved ones.

Demon's, angel's, heaven and hell. Guns blaze, explosions light the screen and many dark and scary scenes bring this movie into a genre based thriller/action flick.

The camera work is brilliant and could make any arthouse director jealous, many motif's are just as artistic as "Fargo" and I'm sure that the people who brought you "Star Wars" would love the special effects in this movie just as much as i did.

All around a fun movie to watch which had me jumping in my seat every now and then for the sheer suddenness and violent confrontations between Max and those who stand in his way.
Sexy girls, guns and some good directing make this movie very enjoyable.
The only bad thing i could say about this movie is that the plot isn't that unpredictable, but you sit in your seat to watch the end as Mark Wahlberg kicks some ass!

"I don't know about heaven, but i believe in angel's"

"Max Payne" Rated- 3.5/5
